On February 11, 2025, the Permanent Secretary for Higher Education and Research, Dr. Henry Marx, visited us at ZIB. He was impressed by our science and how it is being transferred into society, such as our traffic and flight route planning, the use of AI for preventive medicine, and the improvement of the effectiveness of painkillers.
Our colleagues from Supercomputing gave him a very impressive presentation of the mainframe computer.
